Japan's attack on the American Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor and Japanese domination of the entire Pacific were real electroshocks for the Western powers. However, the United States destroyed 4 Japanese aircraft carriers following the Battle of Midway, compromising the advantage of the Empire of Japan. To protect itself from American counterattacks, Japan decided to capture bases in New Guinea and began to build an airfield on Guadalcanal in order to isolate Australia, the last Allied stronghold in the Pacific.

Although poorly prepared for a land offensive, the United States managed to capture the Guadalcanal airfield, thanks to the efforts of General-in-Chief Alexander Vandergrift and his first company of Marines. In enemy territory and with low supply reserves, the Marines must now hold out against Lieutenant General Harukichi Hyakutake at the head of the Japanese 17th Army.

Conflict of Heroes: Guadalcanal recreates these battles with stunning jungle and beach boards, Marine units, Imperial units, and more. Guadalcanal uses the same ruleset as the other games in the Conflict of Heroes series and adds new special rules like American artillery fire, Banzai charges, night combat, and jungle movement.
