On November 30, 1803, the United States of America purchased Louisiana from Napoleon. President Jefferson then decided to send two explorers, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, to discover this immense terra incognita.

In Lewis & Clark, each player leads his own "Corps of Discovery" across the continent. His team will be completed by the Indians and trappers encountered along the way. The players lead an expedition across the North American continent. Your goal? To reach the Pacific coast first by crossing the United States. Lewis & Clark is therefore a racing game.
Each player leads his own expedition across the United States. Each player has Character cards in hand that form his expedition. These characters allow you to perform actions such as harvesting resources, advancing on the course or asking the Indians for help. To be triggered, the action corresponding to a card must be associated with a Force provided either by another card or by Indians. On each turn of the game, a player must perform an action. He can also recruit a new Character and improve his hand of cards. Finally, players can regularly establish their Camp in order to regain control of the cards already played. But the loading of resources and the number of Indians welcomed can eventually cause the hard-earned lead to be lost. Resource and Indian management is therefore crucial in the game. The game ends immediately as soon as a player has brought his Camp to or beyond Fort Clatsop.
Only first place counts.
