ARCHAEOLOGIA is a game that is primarily intended to be fun and cultural.
It allows players to discover through play the stratigraphic composition of an excavation, the different historical periods and the discoveries linked to them.
The player evolves in the universe of the 1930s, a pivotal era between old and new technology, a time when looting and the black market wreaked incredible havoc on excavation sites.
A time when, despite everything, archaeologists worthy of the name, driven by their passion, enriched museums with their discoveries!
ARCHAEOLOGIA is a game of placement and strategy, with a hint of chance. Players evolve on a board of 16 piles, each made up of 4 tiles representing different strata levels: GRASS, EARTH, ROCK and DINOSAURS.
Each player has a financial nest egg that will allow them to buy tools specific to each stratum, as well as different prospecting equipment.
The goal of the game is to obtain the first 40 Fame Points (RP).
To do this, players will have to discover archaeological pieces often made up of several tiles, and deposit them in the museum, alone or in groups.
Opposite the museum is the black market: the final destination of looting and theft on excavations.
This is where players can try to save certain pieces essential to their research.
If by chance, some players wish to trade their discoveries, it will be to the detriment of their fame.
Many EVENT cards illustrate the daily hazards that players will have to face. At the start of their turn, players draw a card from the draw pile. With a maximum of three in hand, they will try to tip the game to their advantage by playing them at the right time.
